What A Week!

Last week was fabulously busy, starting with a site visit to the Wallace Collection, our newest venue on our books. Just a five minute walk from Oxford St (past Selfridges) this hidden gem is an absolute treasure trove of 18th century paintings, furniture and porcelain. Head of events Nicolas Leevers gave me a private tour of  Hertford House, where the collection has belonged for centuries. A feast for the eyes at every turn, this stately home is floor to ceiling oppulence, with walls hung with silk, stunning chandeliers and of course, some of the most famous works of art in the world:

The Swing: Jean Honore-Fragonard

The Laughing Cavalier: Frans Hals

This is the perfect reception venue for art lovers, with exclusivity of the galleries upstairs for drinks and canapes you have the freedom to stroll through the rooms and enjoy them at your leisure. The courtyard is just breathtaking for large dinner receptions downstairs too with so much space and light...

If you want to go and visit the collection, it's open to the public seven days a week from 10am-5pm.

The rest of the week was taken up with preparing for the launch at Luella's (we had a lot of tidying to do on Friday when the boutique was closed!) meeting the ladies at Cupcakes To Go who brought some of their delicious cakes for us to try

and stopping by to see Tom, the Wimbledon Village Florist. He was so lovely and gave us a bunch of sweet smelling baby daffs to take home!

There is still so much to do and on top of that, I'm trying to organize a photo shoot for the new promotional material-argh! Let's hope I get a lot more ticked off the list this week!
