My personal favourite-a Poppy georgette fully hand-beaded shift with fluted sleeves
Back in March I had the privilege to be invited by Leanne Hewitt of WildAbout Flowers to the Matthew Williamson debut bridal trunk show. Having followed Matthew's career in fashion for many years I can confirm that I was not disappointed. Based on some of his most popular designs from his ready to wear collections and adapted to bridal, this beautiful collection exudes luxury and opulence.
Silk chiffon kaftan with fluted sleeves embellished with swarovski crystals and pearls at the waist
Empire line column gown embellished with beaded peacock feather motif
Each piece is a beautiful work of art, be it the delicate embroidery, structured corsetry or hand sewn feathers. Texture and movement is key to this collection using silk satins, chiffons, georgette and silk devore-a most unusual fabric for gowns normally associated with scarfs, yet this works just beautifully.
Geometric beaded silk empire gown with softly draped skirt
For a contemporary, chic bridal look, Matthew's collection also has some shorter designs which are bang on trend, incorporating asymmetric necklines and draping.
Asymmetric silk tulle cocktail dress with ostrich feather and ruched tulle waistband
Small rose bracelet
To compliment the dresses there's also a delicate range of accessories, including clutch bags, corsages and hairbands.
Star diamante headband
