New Service - Pay As You Go Consultations

Today we are super-chuffed to announce the introduction of our new service - Pay As You Go Consultations. Ok in reality this is something we've been doing for a while on a supply-on-demand basis, but due to demand we've decided to formally add it to our range of services.

This service is intended for couples requiring occasional expert advice and support - perhaps focusing on a specific area of their wedding or for some advice and support with the 'bigger picture'. And to add to the excitement, we've decided to give the first five couples that book a consultation from now a 50% discount!! That's two focused hours of expert advice with summary email for just £60!!! So.. what are you waiting for? Drop us a line :)

As Seen In...Y&YW March/April

I'm so excited to tell you all about the fabulous feature I took part in for the March/April issue of Y&YW magazine (OUT NOW!) in which four top planners help to inspire readers to plan the ultimate wedding reception for 100 guests with just £5,000.00 in the pot!

Let me tell you, THIS was a challenge, not only to find a suitable venue, but also to find enough budget to stretch to feed and water 100 guests and still have enough left over to make it look stunning. I did it though. Want to find out what I pulled out the bag?

Best go buy a copy!

Spotlight On...The Flower Appreciation Society

Today we're kicking off a new weekly feature, singing the praises of the suppliers we love and know you will too.

Without further a-do, please welcome Ellie & Anna of 'The Flower Appreciation Society' ("not your average florists")...

Based in Hackney, designer-florists Ellie and Anna love nothing more than thinking outside the box and indulging in the quirk factor:

"The moment we met we recognised our shared love of flowers. The seed was sown for The Flower Appreciation Society. Our background is illustration and textile design. This visual training informs our beautiful, natural and sometimes quirky arrangements. We use English, seasonal flowers and masses of wild foliage where possible."

Is this not the most fantabulous thing you've ever seen??!

Anna and Ellie use their design skills to illustrate to their clients the type of flowers they plan to use. This is a great way for the not-so-flower-savvy to better visualise their wedding flowers.

What a beautiful selection of buttonholes...

We just love their loose, free form, natural style, just as nature intended. Ethical too.

These floristry tips are brilliant, you learn something new every day. Be sure to look these ladies up for your wedding, that's if you can get them out of bed ☺

Thanks ladies!

Keep those eyes peeled for next week's Spotlight On...

Lover's Knots & Beautiful Braids

There's no doubt about it, 2012 is the year of the braid, they're back and more beautiful than ever, making those of us with short hair tie ourselves in knots (sorry, I couldn't resist) trying to make our hair grow faster! It's so easy to work braids into your bridal style whether you're having something structured and up, or loose and flowing and we absolutely adore this style.

Want to try braids for yourself? Here's some great DIY tutorials...

Hopelessly In Love With...The Little Peach Print Company

I'm a sucker for paper porn. A good novel, something for the coffee table, and most definitely anything involving print and illustration. So what happens when you combine beautiful illustrations and calligraphy with wedding stationery?

Around The Campfire

I mean, excuse the pun but isn't this just a peach?!

Illustrator and screen printer Sally Leach has just launched this beautiful new stationery company after "she had immense fun designing and printing the wedding stationery for one of her oldest friends."

That's exactly what Sally's designs are. Fun. We love their childlike quality, just like picking up a picture book for your bedtime story...

We'd like to wish Sally all the best in her new venture, and if you'd like more information on The Sweetheart Collection or a bespoke design, do say hello to her, she'd be delighted!
